Growing Mediums

Soil is probably the most common growing medium – it is a mixture of solid particles, water and air. In hydroponics, the medium is soilless – such as rockwool, clay pebbles, coco coir, perlite and others.

The soilless mediums are inert – they do not supply any nutritional supplement, their role is to hold the moisture and oxygen the root system requires to grow.
